21 Questions - 5. What proof do we have of Jesus' resurrection?

I am not really sure this question is all that much different from question 4, how do we know that Jesus really existed. In question 4, the evidence provided that Jesus really existed eluded to the point that there were followers of Jesus long after his crucifixion. The eyewitness accounts of Jesus resurrection have not been disproven. People can theorize and say without scientific evidence, we can't provide he was resurrected. At the same time, they don't have any scientific proof he wasn't resurrected.

Let's consider the disciple's lives. They were crucified, stoned, stabbed, skinned, and burned. Not a single disciple recanted under pressure from authorities. If this does not make their testimony trustworthy, I don't know what will.  It is hard to image the disciples would have endured persecution and died for their faith if it was not true. If Peter had not seen Jesus, do you think he could have endured 30+ years holding onto the faith that Jesus was the true Messiah. If it was all a ruse and Jesus did not rise from death, would Peter after 30 years be willing to be hung upside down on a cross because he did not consider himself worthy to be crucified like Jesus.

Aside from external writings, the most important fact I believe is sufficient proof the disciple's willingness to suffer for their faith and not a single one recanted. Not a single disciple moved away from the position that Jesus rose from the dead.

Just as in Revelation 12:11, they conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not love their lives in the face of death...

The power of the disciple's testimony lives on today. That is proof enough for me.
